This course focuses on assessing and establishing robust QI practices across a diverse network of providers to advance the network as a performance-driven organization, with a focus on collaboration around defined behavioral health priority measures, using individualized agency support to drive implementation and practice change. Panelists will describe the evolution of quality improvement efforts, creation of data visualization to support informed decision making and development of common processes based on shared best practices, and will also discuss their efforts to build on this foundation to sustain practices at the agency and network levels.

Faculty

David Eckert, LMHC, NCC, CRC

David Eckert, LMHC, NCC, CRC, is a Senior Consultant in the Center for Collaboration in Community Health at CCSI and supports CQI efforts across New York state. He has experience in a variety of clinical settings, including as coordinator of mental health clinics in the Rochester area. His focus includes quality improvement, documentation standards, clinical design to improve service delivery and family therapy. He is Adjunct Professor for the Masters-level counseling programs at SUNY Brockport, Medaille, and most recently developed and is teaching “Neurobiology in Counseling” through the Counselor Education Program at SUNY Brockport. Mr. Eckert received a BA in Psychology at Florida State University and an MA in Community Mental Health Counseling at the State University of New York in Brockport.

Lynette Thelen, MBA

In her role as Senior Consultant, Lynette Thelan specializes in strategic analytics and performance improvement. She provides consulting and technical assistance to health and human service providers in value-based payment success, data-driven decision making and quality improvement. Ms. Thelan supports organizations in understanding and improving the quality, value and impact of their programs and services, with an emphasis on performance measurement and workflow improvement. She holds an MBA from Rochester Institute of Technology and is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
