“The Change Healthcare cyberattack has created unprecedented challenges to health care organizations across the country. This disruptive incident, falling in the middle of the substantial effort and commitment required for quality reporting efforts, has significantly strained resources. Recognizing these extraordinary circumstances and in alignment with CMS, we are granting a deadline extension for the submission of HEDIS Measurement Year 2023 results. The new submission date is June 28, 2024.
This extension is intended to support all health care operations by providing the additional time needed to compile and submit accurate data. We believe that this is necessary to ensure the integrity of HEDIS results, alleviate some of the pressures experienced by those handling submissions, and help ensure that quality health care remains our shared focus.
