NCQA believes telehealth is an integral part of patient-centered care. Use of telehealth to deliver care is recognized throughout our Accreditation, Certification and Recognition programs.
NCQA identified key areas of telehealth that may support the delivery of safe, effective, timely, equitable and efficient care. In May, we released a questionnaire for organizations that own or have developed telehealth platforms. This questionnaire is for organizations that currently deliver clinical care through telehealth. Responding to this questionnaire will:
- Reveal areas of opportunity for potentially aligning your practice or organization’s telehealth use with patient-centered care.
- Help us shape future NCQA assessment frameworks of patient-centered telehealth capabilities and support market-driven solutions for telehealth quality by learning more about your use of telehealth to deliver clinical care.
Who should complete this questionnaire?
Practices or organizations that currently deliver clinical care through telehealth. This questionnaire should be completed by a representative from your practice or organization who is familiar with your telehealth implementation and functionalities.

How it Works
Please spend 20–30 minutes taking this questionnaire to help us learn more about telehealth care delivery, processes and capabilities. The questionnaire should be completed by someone at your practice or organization who is familiar with your telehealth implementation and functionalities.
Following completion of the questionnaire, you will receive a summary report with resources and potential opportunities to consider, based on your responses. The report is based on our patient-centered programs for care delivery functions and methods identified as foundational—that could be considered core components of care delivered through telehealth or that add value through functions or methods that can help you provide better care through telehealth.
NCQA invites you to share your practice or organization’s recommendations and experiences regarding best practices in telehealth. You can indicate your interest to participate in this quality initiative as part of the questionnaire.
