Improving Asthma Outcomes: Measures and Care Models

Live webinar
Date: July 23, 2025: 3:00-4:30 pm ET.

About this Live Webinar

Improving Asthma Outcomes: Measures and Care Models

Asthma affects nearly 24 million people in the U.S., yet despite well-established best practices, it remains a leading cause of emergency department visits, hospital stays, and missed work and school. In 2022, over 42% of people with asthma experienced an exacerbation—nearly 68% of young children.

These are not just numbers; they represent lives disrupted and care gaps that must be addressed.

This live webinar continues the conversation introduced in NCQA’s 2024 whitepaper, Improving Outcomes for People with Asthma: Challenges & A Call to Action. Join leading experts as they explore practical strategies for improving asthma management through evidence-based care models, individualized treatment plans, patient education, and expanded access to a broader care team—including nurses, pharmacists and community health workers. You’ll gain insight into new care delivery approaches and how social determinants of health can be addressed to support better outcomes.

  • Recognize the human and economic toll of asthma across populations.
  • Learn to recognize asthma accurately in vulnerable groups.
