ATTENTION: Change to NCQA Participation in PQRS
In order to meet surging demand for NCQA’s most active physician practice Recognition programs, we have ended our participation as a qualified registry in the Medicare Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS).
NCQA became a PQRS registry in 2009 to give clinicians a convenient way to submit data to CMS at the same time they submitted data for NCQA Recognition. Quality reporting has evolved to the point that NCQA’s registry no longer plays the critical, streamlining role it once did. We are pleased that we were able to play this role for more than four years, while other reporting options emerged.
To choose a qualified registry for PQRS reporting, consult this CMS Web site. Services and costs may vary by registry.
All of us at NCQA who work with physician practices like yours thank you for using our registry, and we urge you to continue the important work of improving health care quality.
