FAQs

What are the future plans for Transitions of Care (TRC) hybrid-only indicators as HEDIS transitions to full digitization?

NCQA is currently conducting testing to evaluate the TRC measure, with a particular focus on the first two hybrid-only indicators to determine how best to represent them in a digital format. We plan to introduce an ECDS version of the measure into HEDIS, which will be available for optional reporting before the hybrid version is retired in Measurement Year (MY) 2029. An update on the hybrid transition will be provided during the upcoming HEDIS Public Comment period.
