Diabetes Quality: National Trends, Gaps in Care and Opportunities for Improvement
This report, developed by NCQA with funding and support from The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust, examines national performance on the Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS)® diabetes quality measures, highlights opportunities to improve care for people living with diabetes, explores gaps in diabetes care and showcases strategies used by high-performing health plans to inform improvement efforts.
People living with diabetes, clinicians, health plans, policymakers, employers and others can use this report to understand how diabetes care is measured, what current results indicate, and how health plans improve care quality.
