Quality Spotlight

Enter the digital quality “Shark Tank”

Competition and camaraderie are on the agenda at Digital Quality Summit 2022, thanks to a new feature that’s sure to be a hit:

A “Shark Tank”-style contest of mHealth apps that support quality care.

App developers get 6 minutes to “pitch” their technology from the main Summit stage.

The Summit audience—“sharks”—vote to choose winners, including:

  • Best in Show: The overall audience favorite.
  • The MacGyver: The most clever and resourceful app that uses whatever’s handy.
  • The Game Changer: How did we ever live without this this solution?
  • Mission Impossible: Does what couldn’t be done!

To become a “shark,” register to attend the Digital Quality Summit.

Send a 1-page summary OR a 5-minute video to dqs@ncqa.org by June 13 explaining:

  1. WHAT quality problem your app idea addresses.
  2. HOW your app works—its key features that users can see.
  3. WHY your app is different and why it matters.

Your app:

  • Should be in production or ready for production.
  • Should not include patient information (either in the written/video summary, or in its final demo).
