Mitchell, health care champion, former NCQA Board Chair and executive director of the Massachusetts Group Insurance Commission upon her retirement after 29 years of faithful public service. Mitchell served seven Massachusetts governors from both parties in her distinguished career.

In a tweet, NCQA President Peggy O’Kane called Dolores her “hero and a health care pioneer.” Mitchell has been a member of the NCQA board since 2007 and was Chair from 2012 to 2014.

After 29 years of working hard to ensure that Massachusetts’ state employees had access to quality, affordable heathcare, NCQA applauds Dolores Mitchell for her tireless dedication. Best wishes for a most well-deserved retirement.
