Program-Specific Marketing Guidelines and Seals

Each program that confers NCQA Accreditation, Certification, Recognition or Ratings status has two sets of rules for how organizations may promote that status:

Use of an NCQA seal by individuals or organizations that have not achieved NCQA Accreditation, Certification, Recognition or Ratings status, and/or as further authorized and described by the two sets of guidelines noted above, is strictly prohibited.

Program guidelines contain:

  • Program descriptions: Summaries of what NCQA evaluates in each program.
  • Quotes: Statements from NCQA leaders to use in press releases.
  • Seals: We provide seals that represent each program and encourage organizations to use them. These seals are the only approved graphic symbols to represent NCQA programs.
