ABOUT THE PROGRAM
These 90-minute programs are designed for the new and seasoned participant preparing for the NCQA-Certification process. It provides an overview of NCQA Credentialing Verification Organization Certification requirements, focuses on preparing for a Survey and learning how to read a CVO Certification standard. This educational webinar series will be presented by Frank Stelling & Ginelle Jurlano, with a live question-and-answer session following each presentation.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
At the completion of this program, you will be able to:

  • Discuss the different nuances between UMCR Credentialing Certification and CVO Certification
  • Understand the CVO standards and certification options
  • Describe the core and must pass elements required for CVO Certification
  • Understand how to read a NCQA standard

HOW YOU WILL BENEFIT 
Participants will receive a concise presentation of key CVO Certification requirements in an interactive environment that will allow for questions and answers.This will increase participants’ ability to apply these standard requirements in their own organizations, as well as receiving an enhanced understanding of how NCQA uses CVO Certification in relation to Health Plan Accreditation and delegation.

EXPERT FACULTY
Frank Stelling, MEd, MPH
Mr. Stelling is an Assistant Director in the Policy Department of the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). He serves as a project manager and policy leader for the Standards and Guidelines for Health Plan Accreditation and is the content specialist for quality improvement standards, providing clarification of complex policy issues both internally and externally. He also assists in facilitating the transition of new products from development to full operation.He is a member the Policy Development Group; an interdisciplinary work group charged with resolving policy issues. 
Prior to joining NCQA, Mr. Stelling served in various capacities in care management and preventive services for a national managed care organization. He was a member of the quality improvement committee and led the organization through a successful NCQA survey. He has over 30 years of experience in management in managed care, hospital, public health and voluntary health organizations. Mr. Stelling has a Master of Education from the University of South Carolina and a Master of Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley.

Ginelle Jurlano, MHA
Ginelle Jurlano began working at the National Committee for Quality Assurance in August 2010. She is currently an Accreditation Manager in the Product Delivery department. She is responsible for coordinating and conducting accreditation and certification surveys for healthcare organizations. She also serves as the CVO product champion for the department.
Prior to her position in Product Delivery, Ms. Jurlano was a health care analyst in Product Development where she assisted in creating and updating NCQA programs including Health Plan Accreditation, Managed Behavioral Healthcare Organizations, Case Management, Wellness and Health Promotion, Patient Centered Medical Home and Accountable Care Organizations. 
Ms. Jurlano received her Bachelors of Science at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. She received her Masters of Health Administration from University of Maryland School of Public Health in College Park, MD.
