Sustaining and improving performance between NCQA surveys enable Health Plans to perform their best by reducing rework, preventing timeline bottlenecks, and controlling staff burnout. This live course was designed is response to health plan requests for strategies and best practices for managing team, processes, and changes between NCQA surveys. 
Faculty for this session has over 25 years of experience in NCQA Accreditation Survey operations. Faculty will also facilitate short activities to simulate these strategies and best practices. This course is appropriate for any health plan staff member, delegate, or contractor with a stake in NCQA Accreditation.

Faculty

Dayna Bell, MBA, MS

Dayna Bell is currently the Principal Consultant with Bell Business Solutions, where she provides management consultative services to organizations preparing for NCQA Accreditation, including but not limited to,

policy interpretation, policy and procedure development/enhancement, and report development. Dayna also assists organizations by providing

leadership/staff training and development, project management, regulatory compliance, and administrative support services.

Dayna previously served as the Senior Director, Enterprise Quality & Accreditation at Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC). She was accountable for developing and implementing accreditation strategies, activities and programs that comply with accreditation standards (NCQA, URAC, AAAHC), federal regulations (ACA, CMS) and state regulations. Dayna was also responsible for reporting key metrics to quality improvement committees, designing quality studies, driving meaningful analysis and managing budget activities.

Dayna also held a variety of roles with the National Committee for Quality Assurance.  She most recently served the Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Accreditation, where she was responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of NCQA's Accreditation and Certification programs,  including but not limited to the recruitment of new business, scheduling of the surveys, management of HEDIS performance assessment process, analysis of structure and complex survey issues, management of survey forecasting, scheduling and training of surveyors, management of off- and on-site survey processes, and the administering of the final report.

Dayna has been an NCQA surveyor since 1999. She holds an MBA and a Masters of Science in Management with a concentration in Health Care Administration, both from the University of Maryland.
