This course examines opportunities for implementing a networkwide QI program through a population health lens, with a focus on behavioral health. Speakers share considerations for value-based payment contracts with payers, including managed care organizations, on behalf of clinically integrated provider networks, to provide health care and related social services.

Faculty

Jessica Frisco, RN, BS
Jessica Frisco joined AsOne Healthcare IPA as Director of Quality and Compliance in December 2019. Previously, she was a Quality Improvement Specialist with Coordinated Behavioral Care (CBC), where she led development of QI tools and processes for the care transitions program, Pathway Home. She supported CBC as a Behavioral Health Care Collaborative by facilitating implementation of a networkwide IT platform, establishing and tracking behavioral health quality metrics, and providing strategy on integrating social determinants of health across the network’s diverse programs and services. Before joining CBC, Ms. Frisco was a Special Assistant at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. She received an MPH in Health Policy and Management from Columbia University and is a licensed Registered Nurse in New York.

 

Caroline Heindrichs
Caroline Heindrichs was named AsOne’s Executive Director in 2018, and has provided leadership and oversight to all functions of the IPA. Prior to her current role she was the Executive Director for Health Planning within the Bureau of Primary Care Access and Planning at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. There, she led the Bureau’s program, policy and research work in fulfillment of its mission to maximize health insurance coverage opportunities and increase access to affordable, high quality, and coordinated primary care with a particular emphasis on improving health equity. Prior to that, Ms. Heindrichs has held positions of increasing responsibility including at managed care organizations, child health non-profits and the U.S House of Representatives. She has expert familiarity with regard to public and private health insurance programs, federal and state health reform initiatives including DSRIP and the ACA, and common health care access barriers facing low-income and vulnerable populations including immigrants and children. She received a B.A in Social Work from Salisbury University and an M.A. in Legislative Affairs with a concentration in health care policy from The George Washington University.

 

Daniel Korovikov, Psy. D. 
Daniel Korovikov is the Director of Analytics at Astor Services for Children & Families. He started at Astor Services as a psychology intern in 2013 and then served as a psychologist and clinical supervisor in outpatient and day treatment programs. In 2017, Daniel became the Director of Analytics for the newly established Analytics department. He led the development of a data warehouse to store and organize a dozen automatically updating data sources. Daniel and his team of analysts have built a myriad of dashboards and reports, which are used on a daily basis by hundreds of staff across 20+ programs. He received a B.A. in Psychology from Rutgers University and a Psy.D. in School-Clinical Child Psychology from Yeshiva University.
