HL7 FHIR Connectathon

Join NCQA’s Digital Measures team for a collaborative discussion and implementation session at the upcoming HL7 FHIR® Connectathon, taking place virtually from May 17–19.

NCQA will provide clinician-level (CMS125v10–FHIR® v4.0.1) and health-plan versions (HEDIS® BCS-E–FHIR® v4.0.1) of the HEDIS Breast Cancer Screening measure to be run in parallel, to identify differences and issues in execution. FHIR® Bundles with synthetic patient data will be available, but implementers are also welcomed to utilize their own test data. Materials and details will be provided to interested parties in the weeks leading up to the Connectathon, and NCQA will utilize Zulip and Whova to support participant activities before and during the Connectathon.

Implementers are asked to execute these measures in their environment and report their findings in a collaborative Implementer Review & Discussion session scheduled for May 19. Discussion topics will include common execution issues, suggestions for measure improvement, differences between clinician and health-plan measures, performance discrepancies and other topics identified by implementers and industry stakeholders.
