DESCRIPTION:About this On Demand Training\nOnDemand: What's New in the 
 World of Antibiotic Stewardship? Part Two - Impacts of COVID 
 and Use of Telehealth\nDr. Sharon Tsay\, Medical Officer at 
 the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention\, will discuss 
 current research and findings in the field of antibiotic 
 stewardship. She will talk specifically about how the 
 COVID-19 pandemic and recent telehealth trends may be 
 impacting antibiotic prescribing.\n\nWhat You Will Learn\nAt

 organizations\n\nFaculty\n\nSharon Tsay\, MD\nDr. Sharon Tsay 
 is a Medical Officer in the Office of Antibiotic Stewardship 
 in the Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion at the 
 Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In this 
 position\, she works with colleagues at CDC and with external 
 partners\, including public health departments and health 
 systems\, to increase the knowledge of appropriate antibiotic 
 prescribing and successful stewardship 
 interventions.\n\nPrior to her current position\, Dr. Tsay 
 completed CDC’s Epidemic Intelligence Service fellowship 
 in the Mycotic Diseases Branch\, where she led multi-state 
 outbreaks of fungal disease. Before she joined the CDC\, Dr. 
 Tsay completed infectious diseases fellowship training at 
 the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania\, and 
 completed her residency in internal medicine at Columbia-New 
 York Presbyterian Hospital.\n\nDr. Tsay continues to 
 practice clinically as an inpatient infectious diseases 
 consultant at Piedmont Healthcare in Atlanta.\n\nContinuing 
 Education\n\n\n\n\nIn support of improving patient care\, the 
 National Committee for Quality Assurance is jointly 
 accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing 
 Medical Education (ACCME)\, the Accreditation Council for 
 Pharmacy Education (ACPE)\, the American Nurses Credentialing 
 Center (ANCC) to provide Interprofessional Continuing 
 Education for the healthcare team. \n\nThis activity was 
 planned by and for the healthcare team\, and learners will 
 receive 1.0 Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) 
 credit for learning and change.\n\nThis educational activity 
 is approved for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1
