DESCRIPTION:About this On Demand Training\n\nHEDIS Measurement Year (MY) 
 2020 First-Year Results and MY 2023 PipelineNCQA staff will 
 share HEDIS MY 2020 first-year analysis results and 
 reporting results for domains of measures gaining attention\, 
 including 11 measures collected via Electronic Clinical Data 
 Systems and 4 national measures of Long-Term Services and 
 Supports reported by health plans and community-based 
 organizations. Staff will also share what's in the

 Learn\n\nReview HEDIS Measurement Year 2020 First-Year

 Year 2023.Faculty\n\n\nRachel Harrington\, PhDRachel is a 
 Research Scientist in Performance Measurement and has been 
 with NCQA since 2019. She leads measure development and 
 testing in the area of healthcare resource utilization and 
 serves as the scientific and project lead on multiple 
 federally funded NCQA measurement projects. This includes 
 HEDIS© risk-adjusted utilization measures\, appropriate 
 medication use in the elderly and strategies for evolving 
 approaches to social determinants of health in quality 
 measurement.\nBefore joining NCQA\, Rachel led North American 
 health economics and outcomes research for anti-infective 
 products at Astellas Pharma. Dr. Harrington holds a Ph.D. in 
 Pharmacy Systems\, Outcomes and Policy from the University of 
 Illinois at Chicago College of Pharmacy and a B.A from 
 Marquette University.\n\nEmily HubbardEmily Hubbard is a 
 Health Care Analyst in the Performance Measurement 
 Department at the National Committee for Quality Assurance 
 (NCQA).  \nEmily supports projects related to the 
 development and maintenance of performance measures focused 
 on diabetes and cardiovascular care. She also supports 
 the management and coordination of multi-stakeholder groups\, 
 including the Committee on Performance 
 Measurement. \nEmily holds a Bachelor of Anthropology and a 
 Bachelor of Public & Nonprofit Administration\, with a 
 specialty in Community Health\, from Grand Valley State 
 University. \n\nPamela LighterPam Lighter is a Senior 
 Research Associate at the National Committee for Quality 
 Assurance (NCQA) where she leads measure development for 
 multiple projects within the performance measurement 
 department focused on individuals with chronic conditions 
 and older adults\, improving care coordination\, and 
 patient-reported outcomes. Prior to joining NCQA\, Ms. 
 Lighter was a Project Specialist with the AARP Public Policy 
 Institute where she provided programmatic support for the 
 implementation of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s 
 Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action\, a national 
 initiative to guide implementation of the recommendations in 
 The Future of Nursing: Leading Change\, Advancing Health\, a 
 landmark Institute of Medicine (IOM) report. Prior to 
 joining AARP\, Ms. Lighter was a Research Assistant at the 
 IOM where she provided research and basic programmatic 
 support for multiple projects\, including two consensus 
 studies and one forum focused on quality of care and life 
 for individuals living with chronic conditions.\n\nFern 
 McCree\, MPH\, BSFern McCree is a Senior Research Associate in 
 the Performance Measurement department at NCQA. Ms. McCree 
 leads maintenance and development of quality performance 
 measures for NCQA. She manages ongoing work to develop and 
 promote NCQA’s electronic measurement strategy. Ms. 
 McCree holds a Master of Public Health from The George 
 Washington University and a Bachelor in Science in Public 
 Health Administration from Temple University. \n\nLyndsey 
 Nguyen\, MS\, BAMs. Nguyen currently serves as a Senior Health 
 Care Analyst in the Performance Measurement Department at 
 the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA©). She 
 manages\, leads\, and coordinates activities related to the 
 development of quality metrics for U.S. health care. Her 
 areas of focus include mental health\, substance use\, and 
 pain management. Ms. Nguyen holds an M.S. degree in 
 Physiology (Complementary and Alternative Medicine) from 
 Georgetown University\, and a B.A. in Cognitive Science from 
 the University of Virginia. \n\nSarah Paliani\, MPHSarah 
 Paliani is a Senior Health Care Analyst in the Performance 
 Measurement division at NCQA. She provides content and 
 project management leadership over large\, complex projects 
 related to the development and evaluation of quality 
 measure initiatives and NCQA programs. Prior to joining 
 NCQA\, Sarah supported primary care practices in optimizing 
 electronic health record workflows\, transforming care 
 delivery to achieve Patient-Centered Medical Home 
 Recognition\, and implementing continuous quality improvement 
 processes. She earned a Master’s in Public Health from 
 Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health\, with a 
 concentration in Sociomedical Sciences and a certificate in 
 Health Promotion Research and Practice. \n\nDanielle 
 Rainis\, MPHDanielle Rainis is a Senior Health Care Analyst 
 with the National Committee for Quality Assurance. She 
 tests\, develops and maintains HEDIS risk adjusted 
 utilization measures of acute hospitalization\, emergency 
 department utilization and inpatient 
 readmissions. \n\nDaniel Roman\, BSDaniel P. Roman\, is 
 a Director in the Performance Measurement Department at 
 NCQA. He leads the development and maintenance of quality 
 performance measures focused on cardiovascular and 
 diabetes care\, as well as care coordination. Additionally\, 
 he supports efforts to develop and evaluate performance 
 measures for the Medicare Advantage Part C Plan Rating 
 program\, Medicaid Managed Long Term Services and Supports 
 Plans and the Medicare-Medicaid Dual Eligible 
 population.  \nPrior to joining NCQA\, Mr. Roman was a 
 Senior Specialist at the American College of Cardiology 
 (ACC). In this position\, he focused on research projects 
 and pilot initiatives related to health information 
 technology. He also supported the development of clinical 
 practice guidelines\, performance measures\, and 
 data standards. \nMr. Roman holds a B.S. 
 in Biology from the Pennsylvania State 
 University. \n\nLindsey Roth\, MPPLindsey M. Roth is a 
 Research Scientist in the Performance Measurement department 
 at NCQA. She has nine years of experience in leading the 
 development and maintenance of quality performance measures 
 for HEDIS and other programs in the areas of prevention and 
 Long-Term Services and Supports.\n\nDeidre Washington\, 
 PhDDeidre Washington\, PhD\, is a Research Scientist in the 
 Performance Measurement department at NCQA. She is 
 currently co-leading efforts to bring health equity\, social 
 determinants of health and social needs into HEDIS. Her 
 current portfolio also includes work on measures related 
 to respiratory conditions\, such as asthma and COPD\, 
 antibiotic overuse measures\, and pediatric dental 
 measures.   Prior to joining NCQA in 2019\, she served for 
 three years as research project director at the Asthma and 
 Allergy Foundation of America. She earned her doctoral 
 degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of 
 North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  \nContinuing 
 Education\n\nIn support of improving patient care\, the 
 National Committee for Quality Assurance is jointly 
 accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing 
 Medical Education (ACCME)\, the Accreditation Council for 
 Pharmacy Education (ACPE)\, the American Nurses Credentialing 
 Center (ANCC)\, the American Academy of Physician Assistants 
 (AAPA)\, the American Psychological Association (APA)\, and 
 the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) to 
 provide Interprofessional Continuing Education for the
