The 2009 Health Quality Awards brought together diverse stakeholders who have demonstrated a commitment to making quality health care for all Americans a priority. Mara Liasson, National Political Correspondent for National Public Radio was the Mistress of Ceremonies for this event. Previous honorees have included: Senator Edward M. Kennedy (D-Mass.), Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger (R-Calif.), King County (Wash.) Executive Ron Sims and Arkansas Surgeon General Joseph Thompson.

NCQA‘s 2009 Health Quality Awards Dinner will be held on Wednesday, March 18th, at The Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C. and will bring together many diverse stakeholders who have made high-quality health care a priority.

This event will recognize the achievements of individuals and organizations whose efforts have been instrumental in highlighting the need for and driving health care quality improvement. Honorees slated to attend include Robert J. Master, MD, President and CEO, Commonwealth Care Alliance; Peter Orszag, Director, Congressional Budget Office; Representative Diane DeGette of Colorado and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. More >
