Product Development Manager
The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), whose mission is to improve the quality of health care, is seeking a Product Development Manager.

Job Description

The Product Development Manager will be responsible for working with other departments to analyze opportunities and begin developmental work. The individual will be responsible for project management as well as for performing research and analytical work necessary for moving new opportunities forward.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Product Development Manager will assess external environment and opportunities for NCQA products, including new regulatory requirements such as the Medicare Modernization Act or Patient Safety legislation. This may involve following legislative or regulatory activities or private sector advisory groups.

Additionally, this person collaborates with other NCQA staff or consultants, take potential product opportunities and flesh out approaches based on academic research, industry practices, etc.

Furthermore, the Product Development Manager will research, synthesize and make recommendations about potential implications for NCQA on a variety of external research, new developments, etc., e.g. changes to CAHPS survey, new JCAHO survey methodology

Qualifications

2 or more years of consulting and/or project management experience in health care, preferably with clinical issues

Education:
Master’s degree

Skills:
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage several tasks/projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Windows based word processing and spreadsheet applications.
