The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), whose mission is to improve the quality of health care, is seeking a Director of Marketing.
Job Description
The Director of Marketing will oversee the development of product marketing strategies, create marketing plans that support organizational and product goals and direct the implementation of all product marketing related activities. This position includes supervisory and budgetary authority and responsibility. The Director of Marketing works collaboratively with other units including, in particular, Customer Outreach, Communications and External Relations as well as Product Development, Product Delivery, Education and Research and Measurement. The position also plays a key role in positioning NCQA in the public realm and among key leveraging customers.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Director of Marketing is responsible for the development of an integrated strategy to promote NCQA products, programs, and mission. This person develops marketing planning for the organization, builds and extends NCQA’s visibility and mission through cohesive marketing and branding efforts.
Additionally, the Director of Marketing oversees day-to-day product marketing efforts for appropriate NCQA products and services; including collateral (print) materials, Web-based marketing initiatives and advertising campaigns.
Furthermore, this person works with Corporate and Foundation Relations and Education as well as other key internal and external stakeholders. The candidate will direct the activities related to marketing and logistics of key events that position NCQA’s leadership role in health care quality.
Qualifications
- 4-6 years experience in a similar or related position with responsibility for positioning products/services or an organization
- Experience in the health care/managed care industry.
Education: Bachelor’s degree
Skills:
- Strong management, leadership and decision making skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships within and across departmental lines
- Excellent communication (oral/written) skills and interpersonal skills
- Budget management skills
