The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), whose mission is to improve the quality of health care, is seeking a Developer.
Job Description
The Developer will assist the technical lead on the design, development, distribution, and maintenance of data collection and reporting applications. This person will troubleshoot technical issues related to programming and produces software development lifecycle documentation.
The candidate will maintain current industry knowledge on the trends of technology in general and specific to healthcare as related to the architecting and programming of Web-based applications.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Developer executes programming approaches to support various applications development projects. The candidate can code at the entry to intermediate level in applications supported with the Visual Studio / SQL server, .Net, or SAS toolsets.
Additionally, this person participates in design sessions and code reviews for both internally and externally-focused business intelligence initiatives.
Furthermore, the Developer provides technical assistance to users of NCQA applications; troubleshoots technical problems and communicates solutions to users. This person provides guidance to data reporting analysts on complex data issues.
Qualifications
0-1 year experience or specific educational background sufficient to demonstrate competency with MS Visual Studio or SAS toolset
Education: BS in field related to computer science, information systems, or business administration
Skills:
- Proficient with programming languages as appropriate, particularly MS Visual Studio or SAS toolset
- Excellent interpersonal skills. High motivation and ability to work with teams to meet project objectives.
