Delegation Standards and Strategies

NCQA Delegation Standards and Strategies

March 4, 2008 | Washington, D.C.

About the Program

Intermediate.jpgAlthough delegation can be the most efficient way to achieve an organization’s overall objectives, delegated relationships often prove to be challenging. This one-day seminar will address the primary pitfalls that health plans face when giving another entity the authority to carry out a function. Faculty will present best practice examples, and participants will be given an opportunity to assess real-life situations in an effort to help attendees understand how to overcome barriers that complicate the delegation process. The seminar is based on 2008 delegation standards for Health Plans (HMO, POS and PPO) and MBHOs.

Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Explain NCQA Delegation requirements
  • Develop strategies to effectively manage delegation relationships
