What Certification Statuses Can Physician Organization Achieve?
Physician Organizations can earn the following NCQA Certification status levels based on their performance against NCQA's Standards and Guidelines:
Certification: NCQA awards certification to a PO that demonstrates, in NCQA’s judgment, substantial performance within each standard category
Denied of Certification: A denied status occurs when, in NCQA’s judgment, a PO fails significantly to comply with the requirements within a chosen evaluation option of the POC program. Denial of Certification can also occur when, in NCQA’s judgment, a particular identified deficiency poses a potential risk to the health and safety of members.
