Why Participate in Quality Plus?

Plans that meet the Quality Plus standards will enjoy added distinction in the marketplace.

Plans that meet the new Quality Plus standards will be entitled to promote this distinction in advertising and marketing materials, on their Web sites and to their members. Moreover, NCQA’s Health Plan Report Card will identify and provide details about any Quality Plus content areas met by those plans.

Participating plans will also have the opportunity to be formally reviewed against new standards before they are incorporated into NCQA’s Accreditation offerings. This will help ensure a stronger performance on subsequent surveys. 

Finally, Quality Plus is strictly a pass-fail program; NCQA will not publicly report any “fails.” Thus, there is little or no risk for those organizations willing to undergo a survey.
