Government Recognition Initiative Program (GRIP)

PhysRecog_PCMH2011_rgb.jpg

NCQA GRIP manages government contracts that promote the Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model in Federally-Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), Community Health Centers and Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs). Current contracts with the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and the Defense Health Agency (DHA) provide for financial support for the costs of NCQA PCMH Recognition and technical assistance in achieving Recognition.

Federal facilities seeking PCMH Recognition must meet the same high standards as medical homes in the private sector. To comply with federal contracting rules, some application and review processing procedures are different.
