Relative Resource Use (RRU) Standard Price Tables
NCQA is pleased to announce the posting of the HEDIS 2010 Relative Resource Use (RRU) standard price and supporting tables. The tables will allow organizations to match resource use within service categories (Inpatient Facility, Surgery and Procedure, Evaluation and Management (E&M) and Pharmacy) to a standardized allowed payment in order to calculate total standard costs for their eligible members across different areas of clinical care. The following measures will be calculated using the standard price and supporting tables.
- Relative Resource Use for People With Diabetes
- Relative Resource Use for People With Asthma
- Relative Resource Use for People With Acute Low Back Pain
- Relative Resource Use for People With Cardiovascular Conditions
- Relative Resource Use for People With Uncomplicated Hypertension
- Relative Resource Use for People With COPD
The use of these tables is subject to the terms of a user agreement; users must agree to the terms of the User Agreement to access the RRU standard price and supporting tables.
NOTE: The ADSC Table in the Standard Pricing Tables contained diagnosis codes that were mapped to multiple ADSCs. This has been corrected and a new “ADSC-Table HEDIS 2010” file has been posted to Download Center. If you downloaded this table prior to November 24, please take the time to download the ADSC table again to ensure you are using the most current version.
Changes to note from HEDIS 2009
E&M and Surgery & Procedure Codes – The specifications and Standard Pricing Tables were updated to allow separate collection and reporting of inpatient and outpatient costs for E&M and Surgery & Procedure services.
Member Cost Cap Amounts – The Member Cost Cap Amounts table (SPT-CAP Amounts) can be found under the Reference Documents on the RRU Web site. The cap amounts are separated for inpatient and outpatient E&M and Surgery and Procedure services.
CMS-DRG Deletion – The CMS-DRG codes were removed from the Relative Resource Use measures.
