Harnessing the Promise of Health IT
to Improve Care Coordination

Friday, December 4, 2009
The Mayflower Hotel, Washington, D.C.

On Friday, December 4, 2009, NCQA will gather health care and technology leaders to discuss the progress and experiences of organizations attempting to integrate Health IT into their care delivery systems. Attendees at this one-day conference will get a sense of how updating information systems can affect the coordination and cost of care.

Expert panelists will assess the impact of the historic $36 billion federal investment in Health IT and the need for meaningful measures of quality improvement. Panels will also examine patient engagement and challenges to implementing the system at all levels.

Each year, NCQA convenes a powerful policy conference where leading health care experts, employers, consumer advocates, providers, health plan executives, and state and local government policymakers assemble in Washington to discuss the causes of and solutions to the current issues facing the U.S. health care system.
