Wellness & Health Promotion Accreditation: Promoting Health and Decreasing Risk

August 19 - 20, 2009 | Washington, D.C.

About the Program

Intro.jpgNCQA’s Wellness & Health Promotion Accreditation program seeks to promote a philosophy of comprehensive health management by helping individuals optimize their health. Wellness & Health Promotion Accreditation evaluates organizations that provide health promotion services using an evidence-based set of requirements to distinguish quality services. The program examines health plans and other organizations that provide services to employers seeking to help employees and other participants manage their own health.

This seminar is intended for organizations that need to understand NCQA’s requirement around Wellness and Health Promotion. Faculty will explain the Wellness & Health Promotion standards and discuss the Wellness & Health Promotion Accreditation measures in three core risk areas (obesity, cigarette smoking and physical inactivity).
