About the Program

Designed for those who are already familiar with NCQA Health Plan accreditation standards, this program was developed and will be taught by those that are closest to the NCQA Survey process.
Faculty will discuss updates the Health Plan Accreditation standards for 2013. Topics include how NCQA Accreditation, HEDIS and CAHPS can be used to qualify for health insurance Exchanges, the realignment of health plan standards and evaluation options, HEDIS and CAHPS scoring, Interactive Survey System (ISS) updates and how to prepare for a health plan survey.
The federal government recently nominated NCQA as an approved accreditor of Exchange health plans. During these seminars we will provide information on how your plan can use NCQA Accreditation to qualify for Exchanges. We will also provide background information on other quality requirements required for Exchanges and how NCQA relates to those requirements.
Upon completion of this seminar, participants will be able to:
- Describe how Exchange quality requirements promote health care improvement
- Outline how NCQA’s accreditation process meets Exchange quality requirements
- Explain changes to the 2013 Health Plan Accreditation standards
- Implement changes within the organization based on NCQA’s changes to the survey process and the Interactive Survey System
